Fishing
With 444 lakes and 623 miles of trout streams, this area offers a variety of fishing opportunities, from pan fish to trout and game fish, with a fly fishing area just south of us on the Peshtigo river. Ice fishing is also very popular in this area. Sporting goods and live bait are available nearby.

Hunting
Our area offers both gun and bow season. Species include white tail deer, bear, wild turkey, grouse, woodcock and small game.

Golf
There are several golf courses covering a wide range of layouts and difficulty levels within a short distance of Peshtigo River Resort.

Swimming
There are a variety of public parks and beaches in the surrounding area.

Water Ski Shows
Two local ski teams, the Twin Bridge Ski Club and the Crivitz Ski Cats, perform on a regular basis.

Vacationland Fun Park
Go-Karts, Miniature Golf and Bumper Boats located just a few miles away.

Fish Hatchery

Located nearby are the Crivitz Area Museum, the Peshtigo Fire Museum and Logging Museums in Marinette and Wabeno.

Boating
Rental of pontoon boats, canoes and fishing boats and motors are available in the immediate area.

Whitewater Rafting
Several rafting companies offer guided trips on the exciting whitewaters of the Peshtigo and Menominee Rivers.

Bicycling
The "Menominee River Century Ride" and the "Tour de Colour" bicycling tours are held annually in June and September respectively. "Marinette County Scenic Bicycle Routes" is available by calling 1-800-236-6681.

Waterfall Tour
Marinette County is the Waterfall Capitol of Wisconsin, with 14 major waterfalls inside it's borders. Many are located within the Marinette County Parks. A Waterfall Map is available.

Rustic Road Tour
We are located right on Parkway Road, Wisconsin Rustic Road #32, ideal for both car and bicycle touring.

Walking & Hiking Trails
For those who love to walk, there is an abundance of forested land open to the public including state and county forests and parks in the nearby area, as well as trails in the Nicolet National Forest.

County Parks
Marinette County maintains 19 county parks, most offering picnic tables, playgrounds, swimming, fishing and hiking, all within 40 miles of Peshtigo River Resort.

ATV Trails
Marinette County offers approximately 130 miles of ATV trails.

Snowmobiling
Peshtigo River Resort is located right on the Iron Snowshoe Snowmobile Trail with over 100 miles of trails throughout the flowage area and beyond.

Cross-Country Skiing
Marinette County Cross-Country Ski Association provides over 30 miles of trails along the scenic Peshtigo River with varying difficulty for the beginner to advance cross-country ski enthusiast. There are also trails in Crivitz and in the nearby Nicolet National Forest.
